Description:

Craigvar is a distinctive Grade B listed Georgian house and offers luxury accommodation and wonderful food. It was built in 1839 and has undergone extensive restoration and renovation. Our aim is to give all of our guests a comfortable, enjoyable and memorable stay. The house occupies a prominent site overlooking the Square in the unique and charming Victorian Spa village of Strathpeffer.
All of our bedrooms are exceptionally well appointed and there are many personal touches to make you feel at home: a welcoming decanter of sherry, fresh fruit, bathrobes and a refreshment tray. There is an extensive selection of viewing and reading materials for your enjoyment and you may borrow a TomTom satnav for your daily excursions. There is wireless internet access and access to a laptop if required.

Location Description:

Craigvar is an exceptionally good touring base from which to explore the Highlands and Islands. We are 20 minutes from Inverness, 45 minutes from Ullapool on the West Coast, 30 minutes from Loch Ness with cruises and tours sailing throughout the year and less than 3 hours from John o’ Groats. There are also distilleries within easy reach and a close up view of oil rigs can be had at Invergordon on the Cromarty Firth.

There is a host of nearby amenities which includes: bowling, golf, a sports centre and swimming pool.  There is easy access to both north, south and west roads, making this a convenient base for touring the Northern Highlands and our superb position is perfect for taking advantage of the nearby East Coast, with easy access to Inverness, Culloden Moor, Nairn, Cawdor Castle and Fort George and the majestic scenery of Wester Ross, including Skye, Plockton, Eilan Donan Castle, Ullapool, Inverewe Gardens and Gairloch.
